Team Pedercini’s adventure starts in 1993, when the
Pedercini family decides to give a world chance to his son
Lucio, already a stars of the national championship. Lucio
thanks with great results and shows excellent qualities and
strong determination for an high-level challenging. The
pluck he drives his motorbike brings to him and the team the
second final position in 1996 among the private (non-official)
drivers of the championship.

In 1998 the team leaves
the GP Championship for a new adventure: Team Pedercini
moves to Superbike. After two years of practice and a second
position at the national championship, the team triples its
dedication and it lines up three drivers: Lucio Pedercini (who
win the Italian championship) and two novices, Marco
Borciani and Mauro Sanchini.
In
2002 the team confirms Lucio Pedercini and Marco
Borciani. On the contrary, Sanchini’s motorbike is taken
over by Serafino Foti. As well Team Pedercini buys new
competitive means: Ducati 998 Testastretta, 2001 world
champions driven by Troy Bayliss.
At the end of the season the team is one of the top ten team
of the world ranking; Lucio Pedercini is national champion
again and 13° at the world championship where Marco Borciani
is 15° and Foti 25°.
2003
sees the entry of florence driver Nello Russo. Unfortunately
the driver occurs in a accident at the third race and its
injury will keep him out for the rest of the season. The
same destiny hits Serafino Foti after two races. The fortune
of the team is now on Lucio’s shoulders only; but at the end
of the season he gets his best result ever: 9° classified at
the world ranking.
In 2004 Gianluca
Nannelli, Supersport national champion, is signed by Team
Pedercini. During the season he results to be one of the
best novices of the championship: that confirms the talent
scouts qualities of Donato Pedercini. Under the supervision
of the team manager, Nannelli matures during the season up
to be contacted by Official Ducati Supersport for the 2005
season. Lot of injuries for Lucio Pedercini; he can
challenge only few race where – nevertheless – he gets good
results such as the pole-position at Misano Adriatico.
In 2005 sees Lucio
persecuted by bad luck. An injury at the back, with
consequent backache, have a negative influence on all the
season, however he gets the second position at national
championship. Alessio Velini and Ivan Clementi (joined
during the season) are Lucio’s team mates. Just Clementi
will show excellent qualities during races and qualifies.
2006 and
2007 are not lucky
season for the Team Pedercini. (…) In the 2007 season the
team bets on the Superstock championship where it puts on
the bike two young South Africans with great talent. Several
injuries penalized Morais’ season and he loose the chance to
fight for the first place; as well Gildenhuys, started from
the back lines, improves his performance race by race, and
he finishes little far from the top-ten at the end of the
season. After ten seasons full of satisfactions the team
decides to turn the corner and to close the adventure with
Ducati.
